If you are having any issues with the new version of the site, feel free to post them here. The shoutbox is great, but posts get lost pretty quickly as new ones are added.
Curse.com is rolling out patches almost daily, so expect incremental changes in the coming days and weeks. Hopefully all the little bugs that we're dealing with will get fixed shortly. Although most of the bug fixes are related to admin knobs and levers, you may want to read the patch notes: http://www.wowstead.com/pages/site-news/patch-notes
You might have noticed that the calendar is missing, but there are a few reasons to wait before we start using it. Most importantly, it's really buggy right now. There are several issues that users are complaining about, and wowstead is still trying to get these issues ironed out. Secondly, we didn't seem to be using the calendar on the old website, so the lack of a calendar (at least for the time being) on this site shouldn't be a big issue. Finally, there isn't a way to sync the in-game calendar and the website calendar (at least for now). I'm supposed to be able to import Balticus' calendar from the armory to the website, but it doesn't seem to be working. It's one of the issues users are complaining about.
The guild bank should be available, and it should be getting updated automatically every day, but I'm not sure how well it's working. I believe all guild members should have a link for it (with all the other navigation links). I'm not sure if the tab visibility is working properly.
Finally, I figured out how to bring back the tabard on the home page. /flex
As always, your feedback is appreciated. If you have any questions, suggestions, complaints, concerns, etc, please let us know!
There was an issue preventing users from being able to login. This made it so that none of the guild forums could be accessed. However, it's been fixed! You can now login to the old website using your old username and password. It should work just like it used to, but again, it's only going to be available for the next few weeks.
As everyone probably noticed, a bunch of forum posts didn't get copied over to the new site. These were the posts that were added after the extend downtime, but before the actual migration took place. It was a period of almost a week, I believe. My interpretation of this post is that the missing posts will be copied over any day now, but considering that was posted almost a week ago and we are still missing posts, I've become skeptical. Please consider going to the old website, copying you old posts and then reposting them here.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your feedback!
I know some of you probably miss the "Latest Posts" link that was only the old forums page. I do too! If and when they make a new link available with that functionality, I'll add it.
The latest posts widget that is currently available is going to become more customizable also, so hopefully it'll be more functional soon.
Kind of a suggestion, but is there a way to keep the site from getting to big horizontally? I spent like 5 minutes looking for the "Create Thread" button because it was off to the side.

You're right, the layout is too wide for some users. I've experimented with making it narrower, but I wasn't happy with the results. I'll spend some more time on it again. I'm just not sure how many people are affected by it. Thank you for letting me know!
As a quick fix for the users at home, you can zoom out a bit while you're year with your browser options. (Default hotkey is [ctrl]+[mouse scroll wheel])
Also, the guild bank is not getting updated properly. If you can see it (and you should be able to), please be aware that its actual contents are different. I suggest logging into the wow armory if you want accurate information.
I don't have any control over the login process or most performance issues. The hosting people have said that they are trying to improve performance, so hopefully things will speed up in the time ahead.
That being said, if you have any problems where something just plain doesn't work, we should file a ticket to let them know.
I've made some changes to the permissions settings, and I think all guild members should be able to vote in polls and see what's in the guild bank. If your are logged in on a character who is in TE but cannot do one of those things, please let me know!
Please note that the guild bank listings are incorrect. It hasn't been updated for about a week. Sorry!
So this is more of a suggestion, but I couldn't find another thread to post this in so I'll say it here since it regards the website.
Latest Posts thing. We can see it in the sidebar, but some posts get lost due to active posting. I remember back on the old site you could just hit "Latest Posts" and it'd give you this giant page/list of all the recent posts.
Either I'm unable to find that on this site or there is none, in which case I'm suggesting there be one. :D

The old website will be available for the next few weeks, but after that it's going away. You can access it here: http://twilightempire.wowsteadlegacy.com/

Wow, quotes are pretty terrible on the eyes... I'll have to work on that too!

Thanks for the advice Aoife!

I think the website should be a sane width while viewing the forums now. Please let me know if it's not.
It's much better now, Balt.
Edit: Something I've noticed is that the site takes a while to update and realize that you're logged in once you are.

Balticus,
We're noting, especially in the Worgen Starting Area thread, that the quoting mechanism on the website does not seem to be working correctly.
