  • Ah, the memories.  |  Tuesday, February 9, 2010 - 1:24 AM
So I was just raiding a bit with Zak/Hurricane (finally got Marrowgar down. Finally. ;-; ), and so when the second boss in ICC turned out to be beyond us, we headed to OS10 cause it was the only thing none of us were saved to. And I gotta say, all I could think about, the whole run, was the dozens of runs we did in TE there. XD I could practically /hear/ Krisi's befitting adorable gnomish voice saying "Fire wall!" and "Portal!" over vent. Hehehe. Which, in turn, got me reminiscing about all our other epic raid experiences. (Even with T9 and T10 out, I have yet to successfully down Malygos since that one time we did it in TE. Even now, it's no cakewalk.) I sooo remember the feeling of triumph when we got Kel'Thuzad down.

Favorite TE raid memories. Gogogo. :D

First retail raid I had been in. EVER. Rolled 100 on the Tier Token. Awesome memory. In OS with TE. =3

Ah, there were definitely some good memories. Malygos, wow...wasn't that the night? It's never so much about who we downed, but about the feeling afterward. Can you remember vent when Maly died? It was amazing.

I honestly loved raiding with you guys. And it was Balt's favorite thing. TE was so chill and we made sure to have fun. Good times, good times.  =) Thanks for the memories, Zak.

Amg, I knooow. We'd been tryin' for what, 2, 3 weeks? It had to be the most amazing thing ever, even with no mic, I guarantee I was yelling right along with everyone else.

I always loved the way TE ran raids too. <3 We definitely went by the "wipe till you get it right" policy, and that's honestly hard to find outside of a hardcore raiding guild. Half the time when I go to raids now, people wipe twice and wanna quit. And I loved how half the recommended strategies didn't work for us, so we did it in ways that some people would have considered harder. (I /REALLY/ miss kiting Gluth's adds. I always got so excited when we got to him, cause no one else ever let me do that. XD) As more and more people hit 80 in my guild and we try to build a decent 10 man team, that sense of not giving up and thinking outside the box are two philosophies that I'm trying to instill as a raid leader. ...But it will still never quite match up to those amazing runs with TE. :D

Also, Slaye, I remember that! XD

Ahahaha! I forgot the way that we kited Gluth. Everyone thought we were nuts. But it worked for us =D

*Goes to remind Balt, laughing*

Hehehe. I remember the first time we did it, I think the entire raid had tried at least once, and finally Sephy let me try. I was honestly amazed myself that it worked. If I recall correctly, Vent was pretty crazy after downing Gluth for the first time too. XD

Water Elemental:"Rawrrrrr..."

Hey, Kael, maybe when you tank, you can check what presence you're in first, eh?  *Grins wickedly*

Ahahaha. I was not present for Aer blowing all her cooldowns pre-boss, but I have heard plenty of stories. That one is legend.

So is Kael tanking half of Naxx in blood presence and wondering why he kept losing aggro to Malt. :P

We do not speak of these things... most recently, after deciding to wipe up an Onyxia attempt, I routinely un-equip my twin peacekeeper blades. On the follow up attempt, I was about 6k hp low, below 540 defense, and summarliy 3-shotted... It took me a minute to figure out why I couldn't blood strike >.<

I remember trying to DPS for the first time on a paladin.  Ever.  In tank gear.
And Sephy saving my arse by getting me a port to SW to get that Righteous thingy for pally tanks that I never trained.  Lololol

*chuckles* I wish I was with TE back in the early days of WotLK. However, before such, I recall a lot of interesting dungeon crawls with Aer, Heli, and others. Aer, remember the time I decided to take on BF by myself when I was only level 61? And dressed like a ninja...>_>

And then there was the time we took on the entire pit in Old Hillsbrad. Man, those were the days...*reminisces about leveling*

Oh my goodness! I had forgotten. But yeah, we had a ton of fun. Remember the pirate party in one of those dungeons?

Running with you was always a rush because you didn't know the meaning of "Okay, only pull 1 group."  *grins* You would just pull them all and we would DPS like crazy.

Great times, haha! It was the same thing with leveling. Remember Nagrand?

I seem to recall our policy being something like "meh, this is taking too long. Let's pull them all and AoE". Especially when Draik and Heli were involved...
